MISSION

Our Mission is to inspire players, coaches, and community to be "Better Every Day" both on and off the field.

TEAMS

Port Washington Youth Baseball offers Select Level Baseball for ages 9U - 14U.

Tryouts are required for players interested in 10U - 14U baseball. Teams are selected after tryouts, which typically occur in late July or early August. Roster sizes are capped at 11 players for 10U - 14U and selection is based on merit.

As a feeder program to Port Washington High School, our focus is to provide opportunities for the students of our local schools. Roster spots are prioritized for players from within the community, however nonresidents are eligible if open roster spots are available.

Divisions are based on age and grade criteria. Players in a division must either be in the specified grade or age eligible as of May 1st of the upcoming season. For example, a player in the 12U/6th grade division must either be in 6th grade OR cannot turn 13 before May 1st prior to the season.

PLAYER & PARENT COMMITMENTS

This is a competitive program that requires substantial commitment from players and parents alike. The season runs from April through late July. We ask that families make baseball practice and games a priority over other sports.

Teams begin indoor workouts in late January or early February. Most teams will practice once per week until late April when the weather allows for outdoor practice. We strongly encourage players to take part in indoor practice; however we understand that winter sport activities will take priority until spring. There are generally 2-3 games and practices per week once the season begins.

LEAGUE GAMES

Our teams participate in the Wisconsin State Youth Baseball League (WSYBL) which is comprised of teams throughout Southeastern Wisconsin ranging from Port Washington to Fort Atkinson.  League games occur mainly on weeknights but weekend dates can occur as well.  Teams will typically play 16-18 league games a season. Home games are played at Thomas Jefferson Middle School and the High School depending on program level.

TOURNAMENTS

Teams participate in 3-4 tournaments per year which involves travel to other areas where individual or multiple games are scheduled over a given weekend. Tournament selection is determined by the head coaches.

COACHING

All of our coaches are volunteers who have a passion for working with youth athletes. Each team has one Head Coach and 2-3 assistant coaches. Head coaching decisions are reviewed yearly by the Board of Directors and subject to annual background checks.

COST

Costs are determine each year, but are generally around $275 - $400 depending on age. We offer payment plans to to assist with spreading the cost out over time.
